Throughout March we faced rapidly escalating challenges to our business as the coronavirus situation developed on a global scale. At what should have been one of our busiest times of year, we found ourselves having to cancel or postpone a number of our major conferences in order to safeguard the health of our staff, speakers and delegates and to protect the NHS.
In line with government guidelines, we have now temporarily closed the office and several members of staff have been furloughed in the short term. The remaining members of the team are working from home. These are difficult times for our industry, but we are proud to be working within the current limitations to offer continuity of service to our existing clients.
We are also extremely grateful for the hard work and dedication of every one working in the NHS at this time, and are pleased to be able to display the “NHS! Hospitality Thanks You!” logo on our website, in recognition of the invaluable service they are providing to the country and the lives they are saving each day.
It is our hope that the measures put in place by the government to flatten the curve of coronavirus infections are effective and that we can safely resume business as usual in the near future.
In the meantime, stay safe and stay home!
Best wishes from the Archer Yates team.
