Meet the Team: Julie Archer

JULIE ARCHER- Managing Director

Background - Julie established Archer Yates Associates in 1996, following a background in hotel management and marketing. Initially focusing on hotel sales consultancy projects, but evolving into professional event management, Julie ensures that her previous operational skills and personable client approach are backed up with the use of state-of-the-art technology to offer clients an efficient, professional but friendly solution to their event requirements.

Julie loves the challenge of ensuring that an event evolves, develops and succeeds, often exceeding the clients anticipated return on investment, be it for a group of 5 or 5000. A keen sense for financial controls and an understanding of the clients concerns in promoting the correct brand message or achieving the educational objectives of an event, ensures that Julie is able to guide clients through the sometimes stressful and tricky logistics an event may bring.

Away from events, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and good food, sometimes fitting in time to visit the theatre or develop her interest in painting with watercolours.

My favourite quote is:  from Madame Bollinger, a very sensible lady (of the famous Champagne house): I drink it when I’m happy and when I’m sad. Sometimes I drink it when I am alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I’m not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it – unless I’m thirsty.

My bucket list starts with…a trip on the Eastern & Oriental Express across South East Asia.
